Dr. Jyoti McGregor, BS MD

Jyoti Michelle McGregor, MD, serves as the Director of the Manitoba Centre for Craniofacial Difference at the Health Sciences Centre Children’s Hospital.  Dr. McGregor joined the team here in Winnipeg in 2013 as a pediatric, craniofacial surgeon.  She received her Bachelor of Sciences degree from Stanford University and her medical degree from The University of Arizona, College of Medicine.  She received her postgraduate training in General Surgery from the Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency and in Plastic Surgery from the Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale.

Following residency, Dr. McGregor completed a fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery at Stanford University.  During her fellowship, she received advanced training in the management of cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis, facial anomalies including orthognathic surgery and distraction osteogenesis, microtia, and vascular anomalies.  

Dr. McGregor is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.  She is currently an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Manitoba.  She specializes in cleft and craniofacial surgery and serves as the Head of Pediatric Plastic Surgery at the Children’s Hospital in Winnipeg.

Dr.McGregor is actively involved in the Plastic Surgery Residency program and residents typically rotate on her service in their second and third years.  Her research interests include the development of a multidisciplinary computerized cleft and craniofacial database and outcome measures in cleft and craniosynostosis surgery.
