The breath of perforator flaps performed includes: DIEP, SIEA, TUG, SGAP, IGAP, TAP, ALT, DCIA, lumbar artery and “free style” perforator flaps. Muscle flaps for function reconstructions are total nasal reconstruction routinely use pre-laminated flaps and ascending helical rim free flaps.

While the emphasis of the fellowship is on micro-vascular reconstruction, all types of complex reconstruction takes place and complement the fellowship immensely. The fellow will be integrated into the residency program which currently includes 10 residents, 4 physician assistants and 15 plastic surgery attendings. The majority of the fellow’s time will be spent with the 2 attendings with exposure to all others during micro-vascular cases.
